Privacy.

The short version: DIIVO is local-first. Your library lives as plain folders on your disk, the AI runs offline, and we only collect anonymous analytics - never your content. No selling, no ads, no surprises.

What we collect

Never your content - and only anonymous, aggregate signals. Here's the full picture:

  • THE APP DIIVO runs on your device and needs no account. Your files, boards, tags and searches - and the AI search, which runs fully offline on a model you download - never leave your computer. The app does send anonymized product analytics (which actions happen, counts, crashes) so we can improve it. Never your content: no file names, board or tag names, search text or paths.
  • THIS SITE Anonymized usage analytics - page views, clicks, scroll depth, viewport size and country-level location. No personal data, and we don't record anything you type.
  • DOWNLOADS & LICENCE The app is downloaded from GitHub and checks this site for new versions. When you buy, a payment provider handles the transaction and passes us your email and an order reference. Your licence key works offline, but the app re-checks it online now and then - stay offline too long and it pauses until you reconnect. We never receive your full card number.

Why we collect it

To improve the app. Anonymized analytics and crash reports show which features get used and what breaks - so we know what to fix and build next.

To run and improve this site. Site analytics show which sections work, where people drop off, and which devices to design for.

To deliver the app and your licence. Your email and order reference let us send your licence and receipt, and help if you write in for support.

Nothing else. We don't sell data, run ads, or build profiles. That's a promise, not a setting.

Third-party services

A few services help us build the app, run this site, and deliver updates. Each sees only what it needs - never your library:

  • POSTHOG In the app. Anonymized product analytics - which actions happen and how often. No file names, board or tag names, search text or paths. Their privacy policy.
  • SENTRY In the app. Crash and error diagnostics so we can fix what breaks. Technical details only, never your content. Their privacy policy.
  • CLARITY On this site. Microsoft Clarity records anonymized session behaviour. No PII. Their privacy statement.
  • GITHUB Site & delivery. Hosts this site and serves the app download and updates. Logs basic request data such as IP and user agent. Their privacy statement.
  • PAYMENTS At purchase. Our payment provider processes the transaction and keeps billing details on their side. We only receive your email and an order reference.

Your rights

Access or delete your data. Email web.shain@gmail.com with what you'd like - we'll send whatever we have on file, correct it, or wipe it within 7 days.

If you're in the EU/EEA or UK, GDPR applies and these rights are legally yours. We treat everyone the same way regardless of location.
